Aquarium

I'm working on an aquarium wall hanging for my sister's kids. I still have to add jewels/coins (treasure), a turtle, a hard hat dive helmet, more fish, details to the boat, scuba gear, submersible, fish, castle, etc. and tack down all the pieces with thread. I was going to send it for Christmas, but now I think it will be a July 4th present or something. Lots of fun though, and for some reason, looking at the clam makes me laugh (is it a clam or an oyster, I can never remember).

Design from Woodcut

This is an interesting design I saw on a woodcut by Michael Ostendorfer, 1520, German, exhibited in 'The Baroque Woodcut' at the National Gallery of Art. This is my crude sketch taken from a church window in that woodcut printing. It has cool implications in color studies for a wall hanging (the places in the design where the paisleys and the diamonds interact could be color-blending between the colors of the paisley and diamond).
