Slowly but Surely: Blog Posts and Oak Trees
I planted this small (mini, really) oak tree in the front yard a week ago. I am filled with excitement about having planted a living thing in the barren landscape. The growth will be imperceptible, but I enjoy looking at the tree each time I walk into the house, or whenever I spy it from the front window.

Today: QUILTIES done
Today I made these four quilties for a creative swap I signed up for. My favorite is the top left. The brown thing on the top right is *supposed* to be a bird.
I went through my stash yesterday and sorted out all the fabrics I'm not in love with anymore. It's interesting how my tastes have changed. Surely the fabrics are still pretty and worthwhile, but I'm not passionate about them anymore. I put them in piles sorted by color and will see what creative things I can do with them the rest of the summer.
