I made this using fabric and cotton batting, stitching squares and strips of fabric together directly onto the batting. Then I cut the fabric collage down to 11.5"x11.5" and used a new polka-dot stencil I got from a quilt show vendor
Stewart Gill, and stenciled on a bunch of dots using black gesso, white gesso, copper, gold and silver paints (Golden Fluid Acrylics), etc. Then I used matte gel medium to tack on the words and symbols I had drawn on white paper using markers (yes, they bled) and then added some more dots and then re-worked the ink on the words and symbols.
