Chevrons

After seeing this cool quilt 'Feathers' at Alison Glass' blog, I've been thinking about chevrons. I'm trying to figure out how to use the gray fabrics I picked up recently. I mocked this up using Gimp:

I like to see how the overall effect changes when I change all the dark gray to a light gray:

And what about pink - ha!

Anyway I think chevrons like this would be AWESOME for scrapbook paper or a picture frame or a throw pillow, but maybe a bit too busy for what I'm thinking of for a baby quilt... Back to the drawing board.
