I saw a quilt called Raspberry Mocha designed by Sue Urich in the recent edition of Better Homes and Gardens Quilt Pink. The quilt was beautiful and I loved the simplicity - only one block, repeated many times. The block is a square from quick half-triangles. In her pattern she used 2 7/8" squares. I want to do a scrappy orange and blue wall-hanging using 4" squares. I don't think the size of the squares you start with matters as long as I'm being consistent. But we'll see. Here is my sketch of what mine will be like (but it will be scrappy):
To see Urich's quilt, you'll have to get the magazine. And here is a link to making quick half square triangles.
