2014 Monthly calendar from a colorful painting

I found some frames with an easily removable glass front and a nice little mat and had the idea to make monthly calendars from some colorful paintings. Here is the draft-up to work out the size:

Then I filled a 14"x17" page with paper (though I really only need 12"x16" for this):

Then I cut it into four pieces and trimmed each piece down to 6"x8", and here is one with the month and days added (I don't have any number stamps, but I think I'm going to print some numbers on white cardstock and glue it onto each page):

Isn't that cute? It can sit on the desk as a reminder to be colorful and creative, and each month the calendar can easily be changed to the new month. And now for some lovely colorful lights:
